One of the cornerstones of this magazine, and of all the

I’m a big believer in destination weddings—near or far
from home. If you have upcoming nuptials, check out
“All About Weddings” (page 129) for tips on planning your
own destination celebration, plus three other types of
weddings. Traveling brings adventure to any wedding. For
ours, John and I brought our families and dozens of friends
on part of the honeymoon. Just some food for thought, but
you might want to have family and friends around beyond the
ceremony. It’s more fun than you think to share the first day
or two as man and wife with more than just your mate.
One human whom I value above all others is my mother.
There’s nothing more valuable to our moms than our time,
so whether you’re making her my Asparagus, Ham and
